So I have a few friends (and two brothers) getting married within the next year or so, which is awesome because I love weddings, designing invitations and I especially love doing wedding "research" (which I class as looking for really cool stuff like decorations, photography, colour schemes, wedding dresses...the list goes on...) so I have a million and one 'wedding inspiration' bookmarks that come in very handy! This is an invitation I did at work a while ago for a client. Will post more invitation designs as they progress...
Well it's been pretty spectacular weather here at the moment, it's a nice change from having no seasons at all! This is a rad picture I took from our apartment balcony.

I've been doing quite a bit of design work for Bacardi at work at the moment so I have engrossed myself in research about the brand. The other day I came across some old ads on Flickr. They're from the 1960's (as you can probably tell in the first ad from the hairstyles and clothes...!) Pretty retro, love it.

This is the most amazing work by Russian artist/designer Yulia Brodskaya. She specializes in textile painting, origami and collage... there is lots more of her work on her website, check it out here.

This is some work that I did recently at North55 for an Italian restaurant in Dubai called Urbano. A fantastic packaging website called The Dieline has recently called for entries for a new packaging book, so I submitted this!

As I'm in the process of designing several wedding invitations at the moment I'm always on the look out for some good inspiration. I've recently discovered work created by Studio on Fire, they have a blog called Beast Pieces that is definitely worth a look. This gorgeous invitation card with a belly band includes an invite, a map and an RSVP postcard. Such a cool idea that doesn't require an envelope.
