bridesmaids

I've been waiting for ages to post this wee project!! This is what I sent to my bridesmaid's recently, I was sooo excited but had to wait till they arrived in NZ (and Australia) before I could share! These were originally done by the uber talented Anna Bond from Rifle Design... (who also shares a lot of her work on her blog, Rifle) She also does some guest posting on Once Wed with her DIY goodness which is where I found this little beauty. Loving it... and even better... all the girls said yes! :)

melanie & wihann wedding

This is an invitation suite that I finished recently for Melanie and Wihann, who are to be married in South Africa. I loved their colour palette or burnt orange, ivory and a deep brown... can't wait to see pictures from the wedding!

p.s this is my 100th post! Hope you've all enjoyed the content far... there's lots more interesting things to come! xo

hazy summer days

These are a few pics I took yesterday as I was strolling home from work. It's getting so hot here now that it's steaming up my camera lens... has quite a cool effect on the photos though!

wedding invite for maz

This is a wedding invitation that I recently finished for my work colleague maz. The gold cover holds several leaflets for each day of celebration! How cool, I think I would like to have a 3 day wedding when I get married :-)

p.s sorry for the lack of updates over the last week or so... I've just got back from a holiday in new zealand for my brother's wedding... will be back on track this week!

sail the gulf

This is a logo that I designed a few months ago... it's for a website that informs sailors about the weather conditions in the gulf. Will let you know when the website goes live!

halal living

This is a logo I designed a while ago at work for an exhibition about how to live by halal. Unfortunately not long after all the design work had been done the event got cancelled, (booooooo) but I totally loved working on this one. The logo reads 'halal' in english from left to right and 'halal' in arabic from right to left... was my first attempt at an arabic logo, good times!

weddings galore...

So I have a few friends (and two brothers) getting married within the next year or so, which is awesome because I love weddings, designing invitations and I especially love doing wedding "research" (which I class as looking for really cool stuff like decorations, photography, colour schemes, wedding dresses...the list goes on...) so I have a million and one 'wedding inspiration' bookmarks that come in very handy! This is an invitation I did at work a while ago for a client. Will post more invitation designs as they progress...

raining cats and dogs...

Well it's been pretty spectacular weather here at the moment, it's a nice change from having no seasons at all! This is a rad picture I took from our apartment balcony.

box. bottle. bag

This is some work that I did recently at North55 for an Italian restaurant in Dubai called Urbano. A fantastic packaging website called The Dieline has recently called for entries for a new packaging book, so I submitted this!

A save the date invitation I recently designed for my little brother.
